season 5.
Miranda is adjusting to life with Brady. Sam is getting over Richard. Charlotte is newly single and Carrie wonders if 2 shots (Big and Aidan) is all she gets.
Sam gets back together with Richard. Steve wants Miranda to baptize the baby so he doesn't go to hell. Carrie gets a book deal but can't decide on her message. Char goes to a self-help seminar. Carrie dedicates her book to Charlotte, "the eternal optimist."
Char turns 36. The girls go to Atlantic City with Richard. Char feels like an old maid. Miranda is fat. Sam breaks up with Richard. Carrie is kind of annoying.
Carrie has trouble with her book cover and Samantha offers to help. Carrie walks in on Sam giving her Fed Ex guy a blow job. Charlotte buys self-help books on the 'net. Miranda goes to Weight Watchers. Sam and Carrie have a fight about being judgemental. ("I will wear whatever I want and blow whomever I want as long as I can shop and kneel!" ~Sam.)
Carrie's launch party. Meets Jack Berger - feels a spark, but he has a girlfriend. Miranda tries to have sex but the baby cries during her orgasm and the guy leaves. Samantha gets a chemical peel and looks awful. Charlotte sleeps with someone and Bunny walks in.
Carrie runs into a girl who makes a face at her and says she dated Aidan right after Carrie. Miranda can't sleep because Brady is crying. Charlotte fights with Bunny over Trey's apartment. Carrie is obsessive and neurotic. A friendly neighbor saves Miranda and Sam makes an uncharacteristically generous outreach.
Carrie has to go to San Fran for a book tour. She convinces Sam to go with her and they take a TRAIN. No, seriously. Char has sex with her ugly, bald, sweaty, Jewish lawyer and it's the best sex she's ever had. Carrie sees Big and wants to have sex with him, but he's concerned about hurting her now that he's read her book.
The girls go to a wedding of a supposed-gay friend. Char is still having just-sex with Harry. Miranda is having sex with Steve. Sam missed Richard. Berger breaks up with his girlfriend and he and Carrie dance.
Some people settle down, and some people refuse to settle for anything less than butterflies. The end.
